Description
11 x one yen bank notes from Japan. Issued 1946 and withdrawn 1958 though apparently still legal tender there (googled that).
8 are fairly worn and show signs of creases, folds, tears etc - one has an inked note in margin that reads, in part “it is worth about a farthing now although was worth more before the war” and “this is a 1 yen note now almost out of circulation “
The three on the right are nicer notes. So you get some poor and some nice ones :)
