These were minted in Taiwan by the Central Bank of China as commemorative medals of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China. They picture Chiang Kai-shek the revolutionary commander and leader who led the republic of China from 1928 until his death in 1975. After the Chinese civil war in 1949 Chiang Kai-shek continued to lead the ROC from Taiwan.
Each coin has a weight of 17.4 grams
