This beautiful oval smooth cut cabochon polished beautiful oval Almandine garnet. 9 carat rose gold with a twisted rope bezel. The back is foiled and the stunning garnet is a very red juicy stone. The back was stamped 9ct but this is no longer readable so was acid tested. Entirely handmade, the stone is set in a rub over setting with applied braided bezel.

This style of ring has been popular since roman times and garnets were used as powerful talismans as garnets symbolizes love, passion, protection, and friendship, often representing commitment and safe return for travelers, linked to the pomegranate myth. Historically, it was worn by soldiers for protection, used by Egyptians for rebirth, and today signifies strength, inner fire, and devotion, activating the root chakra for groundedness and personal growth. I have included photo's to show similar rings in ancient times.

This is still a wonderful treasure for the antique lover and was sourced from an estate auction and has been verified by antique experts. It is in wearable condition but with great care.
