This antique hand cut diamond beauty measures 6.7x 5 mm and is very deep, it shines with a warm light and has a great clarity, a very early hand cut antique old mine cut set in a Deco ring with clean geometric lines alive with the glamour and fascination of the optical effects of the diamond.

The antique cut of a great 1 Ct is elongated cushion in shape with rounded corners, so deep and glamorous ancestor of the brilliant cut, to the eye, nothing but refraction and clear chunks of prismatic light.

Ornately styled shoulders incorporate both incised metal work and subtle engraving to create an arresting textural and visual effect, pierced to allow light through this glorious diamond. Currently a O fitting ( average size,17.5 mm diameter) it is suitable for resizing and is 2.5grams.

The diamond has beautiful warm tones and a tiny chip on the girdle only visible under a loupe. Very good overall conditions commensurate to use and age, wear consistent with age. Has been reconditioned and retipped by Facets jewellers.
