Description
Two original full-page colour engraving prints from "The Illustrated London News".
They are:
- "Proposed Channel Railway Ferry: Station and Pier at Dover" appearing in the March 12, 1870 edition, and
- "Arrival of the Workmen's Penny Train at the Victoria Station" in the April 22, 1865 edition. Historically, on that date, Lincoln's body was being transported by funeral train back to Illinois.
Both original paper sheets measure 28cm by 40cm and are in generally good condition and appropriate to their age and handling. They can be viewed as is, or you may prefer to have them mounted and/or framed.
