Description
"Home Is Where The Heart Is", designer neon artwork by Chris Bracey (UK). Chris was the founder of Gods Own Junk Yard, a London based, world renowned pioneer in neon artwork. The artwork is made from solid wood and metal bracing strips. It measures 50cm x 95cm. You can see more of Chris's neon art collection here; https://www.godsownjunkyard.co.uk.
Chris began his neon art journey in the 1970s, making neon signage for Soho sex shops and clubs. His work can also be seen in films as diverse as Batman, Blade Runner and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The Rainbow Fancy Dress and Sonata Jazz Café signs in Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut are both by Chris. He passed away in 2014 but his family continue his legacy and operate the Gods Own Junk Yard art warehouse in London. This piece was bought in 2016 from that warehouse, for approx $3,000 equivalent. It was shipped to NZ in 2022 and has had very little use. It's in superb condition, virtually as new.
