The painting measures 60cm by 30cm. It depicts a cheeky kingfisher perched on a notice banning fishing. The painting is a colourful palet knife oil work and with a colourful theme!
Kayrene's paintings have won awards in Taupo. She has had a sellout exhibition of life drawings and regularly exhibits in Rotorua. She has painted theatre backdrops, taught painting and pastels at night classes. The artist is now 76 ys and still paints in her Rotorua studio.
