An iconic series originally produced as a silk screen print in 2014. This is a 2016 limited edition print. The “Pania” prints refer to the story of Pania of the Reef (also just “Pania”), a figure from Māori legend. In the myth: Pania was a sea-dwelling wahine (woman). By night she would come ashore and meet a land man, but eventually — forced between earth and sea — she returned to the sea and never came back. Printed on heavy-weight 100% cotton rag paper with archival inks (so should age nicely and retain quality).
