This auction is for a magnificent, superbly framed, large classical artwork entitled ‘Stoic Romance III Detail’.

The Artist, Richard Franklin, (b. 1961) was born in Virginia, USA and has lived and travelled throughout Europe, the Middle East and the US. The aesthetics of the Old Masters impressed him a great deal and he has continued in the classic tradition in his work, meticulously combining the technique of Old Masters with his own contemporary sensibility to create unique works.

This is a timeless artwork, combining visual aspects of modern style, with the richness and translucence of a classical aesthetic, and elements of Italianate ornamentation and / or Greek sculpture.

Superbly framed under glass in an exceptional complementary frame of magnificent proportions. Cream / white mount with gold slip.
