This is the First Edition published by Harper & Brothers (letter code K-E, 274 pages). Has the publisher’s mottled brown cloth, with red lettering.
Book is in Near Fine condition, in a Very Good and Rare Dust Jacket. The DJ has some wear, small chipping to top and bottom of DJ spine as pictured (not price clipped!). Dimension approximately 7.5 x 5.5 inches.
This is a rare book on New Zealand fishing, particularly in this fantastic condition with a really nice, hard to find, dust jacket.
Romer Grey was the son of the famous author Zane Grey, who wrote Western books in the early 1900's and who utilised his fortune to fish around the world. His fishing books are legendary. Zane Grey put NZ big game fishing on the map in the late 1920's.
Romer's book covers big game fishing in the Bay of islands and trout fishing on the Tongariro river. A must have for any collector of New Zealand fishing!!
