The naming of these portraits is unusual for a Victorian photo album. Also unusual is that some of the portraits have their relationships specified, for example, "Aunt of....", "Sister of......" etc. The following locations are mentioned: Boston, Fitchburg, Wakefield, and Clinton. Surnames (mostly Irish) include McCarthy, Daly, Grace, Donnelly, Powell, McMahon, Mahoney, Kane, Mahoney, Roddy, Woods, Ryan, Murphy, Monroe, Bates, Coleman, Bray, Keilty, McCarthy, Delaney, etc. Most are single portraits, a few pairs, one family. Includes priests, coal merchants etc. Original gilt decorated leather with metal clasp locking arm missing.
