Description
Looking for new baffle plate, or other parts for your woodburner?
Then instead consider improving the performance of your woodburner with the IntensiFire retrofit.
The IntensiFire does not need a baffle plate. This is because the IntensiFire totally changes the combustion system to a downdraft style that is similar to syngas technology. I invented this system for my own woodburner and it is since gone on to become award winning in an international contest (Most affordable high technology and third for innovation at the Woodstove Decathlon - Washington DC November 2013).
Don't refurbish your old woodburner, upgrade to a more efficient and cleaner ultra low emission technology that will deliver more heat into your home from the same amount of wood. If your woodburner is old or in poor condition the results will astound you, 50% or more is probable.

Hi how hard is it to install as I'm not very technical. I don't quite understand we need new baffle so is this a baffle or not. How will I know if it fits my firebox thanks zaken (741 • 9:33 am, Wed, 18 Feb )Feel free to phone, search IntensiFire. So it is a new combustion system that fits into your old fire. It is hotter, cleaner, and more efficient that your old fire. It will pay for itself inside of 5 years. It doesn't need a baffle so this is an option if you have the forced cost of maintenace you might as well upgrade :-) Note I've been doing these since 2011, it is the real deal. Find a fitter/welder if you don't have the skills to work on steel, install under an hour for such a person. the_fire_master (100 • Wednesday, 18 February 2026 )Thank you zaken (741 • 11:33 am, Wed, 18 Feb )You are welcome. Good luck with your fire either way. Good you are looking at getting it done as they lose a lot of efficiency with a missing or damaged baffle. Use dry wood for efficiency and for your neighbours sake(you can use with with the IntensiFire as long as you start it and get it warmed up with dry). Kind Regards, Jason the_fire_master (100 • Wednesday, 18 February 2026 )
