I have just finished building this 7.2 metre by 3.1 metre cabin sleep-out.

There are two rooms; A lounge with a computer workspace in the corner and a sliding door as a lockable entry ... with 3 double power points and two separately switched lights. Then there is a bedroom with a window and an inbuilt wardrobe ... double power points each side of the bed space and two lights on the wall above the bed (for reading etc), plus a ceiling light.

This is not some cheap made of Chinesium or 'fridge panel' cabin, it is built rock solid, using 90 x 45 H1 treated timber at 600 centres, with corrugated steel screwed on the outside, and veneer finished plywood fixed and glued inside. Like I said, this is rock solid. There is R2.8 insulation in the walls and ceiling. All brand new materials apart from the joinery.

Power connection by caravan plug.

The roof and roof flashings are done with NZ Steel's 'Colorsteel' in Ebony black, and primarily Zincalume silver for the cladding. And I have gone way over the top with ensuring the roof is weathertight, using a triple barrier protection system, and the proof of the pudding is even when only half built it had no leaks in a big rain storm that happened in Waihi a few weeks ago.

The cabin is situated in Waihi, under an hour from Hamilton and Tauranga, and about 90 minutes from Auckland, dependant on where abouts in Auckland obviously.

I use and recommend KT Cartage for moving cabins, they have proved themselves over time.
