A unique collection of selected top-grade tools in bespoke cabinet. Plus autographed book.
These hand-tools are from the world’s best makers, carefully selected to meet the discerning cabinet maker’s practical requirements. Some are now out of production and scarce.
Renowned makers include Lie-Nielsen (a near-full range of L-N planes, plus chisels), HNT Gordon, Colen Clenton, Brian Boggs, Bridge City (numbered, limited edition specialty tools), Glen Drake, Auriou, Henry Taylor, Toshio Odate and other prominent Japanese makers. Plus well-known makers like Veritas, Clifton, Stanley. Several pieces are antiques. For serious enquiries a full inventory is available on request.
The bespoke cabinet is of cherry wood, matched ply and a feature piece of weathered timber from a derelict antique sleigh from Montana. The opening main doors each have their own inner hinged panel and inner compartment, making a total of eight fitted display/storage panels. All fittings are brass. The lock is a rare Arab antique. A conventional padlock gives added security.
Cabinet dimensions (closed ) are W1.22 x H1.03 x D 0.38m. It hangs on a French cleat.
Original packing for many of the tools is included. Some Lie-Nielsen planes have L-N proprietary anti-rust sleeves.
A cherished life-time collection being sold with heavy heart by the owner/maker, for health reasons.
