Please bid only if you understand the unique nature of Ancient Swamp Kauri.

Swamp Kauri is a prehistoric timber, preserved in Northland’s peat swamps for up to 45,000 years. While fully workable, it behaves differently from modern, freshly cut timber.

You may expect: * Natural cracks, checks, or resin (gum) features * Internal tension or minor movement * Highly distinctive grain patterns and ancient coloration

These are natural characteristics, not defects.

Every piece is truly one-of-a-kind. Its value lies in its prehistoric history and character, not manufactured perfection.
