We have just discovered a couple of banana boxes of kauri shorts in the back of an old shed. These date back to when we first started buying native remnant Decade ago. Yet we notice it’s the semi professional woodworkers who target these boxes of precut timbers. They are preparing stock to sell at markets and cruise ship events. We base the package around a traditional banana box which can be shipped on our couriers. Typically you can expect up to fifteen kilos in the box . These are generally 450mm lengths of 100 - 150mm wide boards. Mostly, our clients select combinations of colours and PVA glue up the desired board, then dress and sand the surfaces to produce very saleable items. This is mostly yellow kauri with a few brown pieces, allowing for a pleasing combination. First in - first served.
