History Mondial Designs was the original company, founded in the 1980s, which designed and manufactured high-end audio components under the Aragon and Acurus brand names. Indy Audio Labs is a separate, current company, founded in 2009 by former Klipsch engineers. They acquired the Aragon and Acurus brands and intellectual property from Klipsch (which had previously acquired Mondial in 2001) and now develop and manufacture new products under those names.
