We are offering a unique Sony CFS-1025 Cassette Radio that has been fully refurbished and includes some modern accessories. This unit has a lovely history, originally belonging to my late grandmother since the early 90s, used only occasionally before being passed on.

The radio is in very good used condition. It has been extensively refurbished internally to ensure decades of reliable performance. This includes:

• All electrolytic capacitors on the circuit boards replaced with high quality Low-ESR Audio specific units
• Cassette mechanism belt replaced with new
• Head cleaned and demagnetized, speed recalibrated from test tape

The restomod upgrades bring this classic unit up to date:

• Integrated USB-C Digital-to-Analog Converter DAC for wireless hi-res audio input from smart devices and computers through a battery powered FM Stereo transmitter for wireless aux input (FM Stereo transmitter can also be used from 3.5mm phono sources without USB-C dongle)
• Runs on 6x 5000mah Lithium-ion USB rechargeable batteries and 4x AAA Lithium-ion USB rechargeable batteries for wireless input, or 240v AC from the wall
• Original power output rated at 2.3W + 2.3W (DC operation)

Included accessories: AC lead and charge cables for Lithium-ion batteries.

This is a beautiful piece of retro audio that now offers upgraded sound and connectivity.
