Description

Approximately 4 years old. Has stopped working, has power but the LED is flashing. I have tried the following without success.

Troubleshooting Steps Check the Power Switch Setting: Some Klipsch subwoofers have an "Auto/On/Off" power switch. If set to "Auto", the light should be solid green when an audio signal is detected and turn off/go into standby after a period of no signal. A flashing light in this mode can mean it is intermittently detecting a signal or failing to stay on. Try switching it to the "On" position to see if the light remains solid green. If it stays solid green and works, the auto-on feature might be faulty. Verify Cable Connections: Ensure all audio cables (like the RCA or LFE cable) are securely plugged into both the subwoofer and your receiver/soundbar. Power Cycle the System: Unplug the power cord from both the subwoofer and the connected audio source (receiver/soundbar) for at least 5 minutes. Plug them back in and test. Check for Wireless Interference: If you have a wireless subwoofer model and the light is flashing due to pairing failure, other nearby wireless devices (baby monitors, cordless phones, Wi-Fi routers) might be causing interference. Try temporarily turning off these devices or moving the subwoofer closer to the soundbar/transmitter to re-pair. Test the Subwoofer with a Different Source: To determine if the issue is with the subwoofer or the receiver/source, connect a different audio source (like a phone with an RCA adapter) to the subwoofer's input using a shielded RCA cable. Perform a "buzz test" by turning up the gain and lightly touching the center pin of the unplugged RCA cable to see if you hear a buzz from the speaker. Test the Receiver/Source Output: If the subwoofer works with another source, the issue is likely with your original receiver's LFE (subwoofer) output. If the problem persists after these steps, it may indicate an internal hardware failure, such as a problem with the amplifier board or power supply components.
