I am intererted in buying this for my son, but need to make sure it will work in NZ in the NZ plug sockets if you are able to sell me the power cable? as im a bit confused by what you mean about not being able to use a travel adaptor plug? milford8 (277 • 7:43 pm, Mon, 15 DecHi there. Plugging this console into an NZ power socket without changing the internal power circuit board or using a step down transformer will damage it. A travel adaptor simply converts the physical plug connections but it does not adjust the voltage so you'd put 240v into a console only designed for 100v. Good if you want a smoke machine, bad if you want a PlayStation.
