It’s translucent weave is firm but soft to the touch. Lovely quality. If you are wanting to use it for doorway privacy you may want to cut it up the centre channel made for this purpose, or leave it uncut and just move the curtain aside from the left or the right.

Noren can be hung inside a sliding door facing out to be seen from the street or outside a doorway if it is well sheltered from the elements and the fabric is designed for outside use. This particular Noren is for inside use only. Use it to provide privacy in the computer room or bedroom doorway or for privacy at the end of an open hall. Or use it as an art wall hanging. Adding a Japanese touch to your home is surprisingly simple.
