About Hamadan Rug:

This beautiful rug was hand knotted in Hamadan, Iran. Carpets of the Hamadan region enjoy a good reputation. They are easily recognized by their varying patterns; the medallion and repeated patterns occur frequently. Hand-spun yarn is used for Hamadan carpets, fringes are cotton and pile is pure sheep wool and typical knot density of Hamadan carpet can be between 100,000 - 300,000 knots / sqm.
