Libertia cranwelliae Big Pod commonly known as the NZ Iris or Mikoikoi, is a NZ native grown for its beautiful, white flowers and attractive foliage. The delicate looking flowers through spring and summer result in attractive, large green seed capsules which mature to orange and which stay on the plants for months. Plants have attractive yellow and green stems that change to bold gold in autumn. Leaves are stiff, upright and 30-35 cm long. They form clumps to around 40 cm tall and 50 cm wide spreading by underground rhizomes.

They are drought tolerant once established. They are frost hardy, wind tolerant, drought tolerant and very robust. They do best in full sun to part shade, but can be grown in shade in which case leaves will be greener. Well suited to growing in pots and containers.

Plants have leaves about 35 cm long and potted in a 9 cm pot.
