The orchid known as 'Dendrobium Green Star Jumbo' is a popular hybrid variety, often associated with the Dendrobium Burana Green Star grex, and is of the Dendrobium phalaenopsis type (also known as Dendrobium bigibbum hybrids). It is prized for its large, green, very long lasting fragrant flowers and easy care. The "Green Star" name refers to its distinct, often star-shaped, green flowers. The "Jumbo" indicates a large-flowered and robust-growing cultivar, with individual blooms typically measuring 4 to 7 cm in diameter. A notable feature of this hybrid is its pleasant, strong fragrance, often described as a mix of sweet and citrusy, which is most noticeable when the plant is in sunlight. The plant is a fast grower and can bloom once or twice a year, with a long blooming time of several months. Flower spikes can emerge from both new and old canes.
