Description

When I first began growing the blue lotus over 10 years ago I wasn't very familiar with any of the various varieties of Nymphaea sp. that existed or that certain varieties were being marketed as the Egyptian blue lotus but were not so it was easy for me to fall into the trap of believing what I had brought to be true Egyptian blue lotus seeds. And as this was not the case, and more information came to light regarding the nearly extinct blue Nile lotus, I turned my attention once again toward this elusive subject....

And now, thanks to the efforts of a few botanical pioneers with whom a great intrigue for this magical plant is also shared, Egyptian blue lotus seeds are finally available on the market for the first time!

I have found the information regarding the authenticity of these Egyptian blue lotus seeds to be satisfactory, for further investigation google "electricveg" with key words "blue lotus" or take a look on YouTube.

The ancient Egyptian Blue Lotus, steeped in tradition and revered by many cultures. It was sort after for its rejuvenating and medicinal properties and references to it can still be found in ancient Egyptian medicinal papyri dating back 1000's of years.

Some of its uses include reducing anxiety, improving sleep and as a natural aphrodisiac. Rich in anti-oxidants and vitamin B it has the power to help the body fight off free radicals, strengthen the immune system and promote good health and skin.
