Description

Takinogawa is native to Europe & Asia & is a very popular root vegetable in Japan. Highly nutritious root vegetable and one of the most valued herbal medicines. Peeled leaf stalks are parboiled and used as a substitute for Cardoon. Young roots can be peeled and used in salads like radishes whilst older roots are stir-fried, sautéed, roasted or pickled. Rich in vitamins and minerals especially iron and used medicinally as a diuretic and blood cleanser. Grows rapidly with huge rhubarb-type leaves. The taproot can be as long as 1 meter & the outer skin is very thin, similar to carrots. Easy to grow

Contains approx. 10 seeds
