Spring/Autumn plant - These are mainly grown for their stem which is used in stir fries, soups, salads and pickles, but the leaves can be used as well. The leaves have a slight bitter taste to them, however they make a good addition to salads too. I like adding them to my garden because I like their look, after awhile they start to look like mini palm trees, lol
