Little Caesar Lettuce is a very attractive, tall compact romaine type with crisp, bright green outer leaves and golden-blanched inner leaves, that taste best when picked just minutes before your meal.

• The right lettuce for Caesar salads, these tall heads have sweet, crisp leaves and are perfect for small gardens and container growing. Plant Little Caesar early in spring or in the autumn, because it grows best in cool weather. Easy to grow, bolt- and tip-burn resistant.

HOW TO GROW:

Sow Sept - April

Direct sow or start indoors and transplant.
Sow seeds 3mm deep and keep moist. Optimal soil temperature for germination: 10-25°C. Seeds should sprout in 7-14 days, depending on conditions. Lettuce seeds don’t sprout easily when the soil temperature is over 22°C. Transplant when large enough to handle. Spacing 20-30cm apart.
