Tall, upright, and sturdy, these 45 cm bright green plants are huge, providing more sustenance per plant than any other variety. Even at its most mature size, this lettuce remains sweet and crisp when others turn bitter in summer's heat. Sow from spring to fall and space them farther apart than usual. Germinate: Sow seeds 6 mm deep in well-drained soil. Keep soil moist; germination typically takes 7-14 days at 15-21°C.
