The necklace is made from a stone specimen I collected at Serpentine Beach, West Coast of Te Wai Pounamu, New Zealand, where pounamu Greenstone and lovely serpentine are found.
Quartzite is a lovely metamorphic rock, comes in many shades and the West coast of New Zealand South Island, Te Wai Pounamu yields many beautiful specimens. Hard stone but not as tough a nephrite pounamu!!
Genuine NZ specimen. 45 mm diameter 12 mm thick 38 grams
Black waxed cord with adjustable slipt knot. Max length of cord - 420 mm max but you can adjust the slip knot to shorten.
