3 years old
Samantha is a small, gentle tuxedo cat who has had a difficult start to life. She is shy at first, but kind and silly when she feels safe.
Samantha came into foster care after growing up with very little human contact. When she arrived, she was unwell and frightened, with a serious infection that required the removal of all her teeth. At the time, the vet was unsure whether she would recover. Even then, Samantha remained calm and sweet throughout her treatment. Thankfully, she made a full recovery and is now a happy, healthy little girl!
She still needs time to feel safe around new people and does best in easy-going, predictable environments. When she feels comfortable, she shows affection by rubbing against your legs, giving soft headbutts, asking for head pats (a new obsession), and following you from room to room. She's chatty and makes the cutest little squeaks. She will also carry her toy mice around the house, and makes little 'whisper' meows when she’s relaxed.
Most days, she sleeps nearby while I read or work, content to be close by. She likes music and always chimes in when I play the piano or guitar. She’s a lowkey cat who spends most of her day napping, bird-watching, or playing with her toys. She is a very special little kitty who is ready to go to a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood.
Because Samantha has no teeth, she must be an indoor-only cat. She would be best suited to a calm adult household. She has lived successfully with other cats and should do well with another easygoing, respectful cat.
If you’re interested in meeting Samantha, please email with a description of yourself, your household, and the type of home you can offer. I’m happy to answer any questions and talk more about whether she might be a good fit.
Adoption fee applies.
