Meet our wonderful rescue puppy, Rudolph! He’s incredibly people-focused, eager to please, and so responsive to guidance that we’d have loved to keep him as part of our team if we had the space. Rudolph came to us as a pound rescue pup and has spent the past several weeks socializing, developing, and having his temperament assessed. He is almost 3 months old. Rudolph has a medium energy level, is very clean, crate trained, microchipped, and has had his first vaccination. His vet check was flawless. Expected to grow into a medium-large adult, he’s highly responsive to cues, attentive, and affectionate—he is very easily trainable! His strong human orientation makes him a perfect match for someone seeking that once-in-a-lifetime bond. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, having been raised among various litters and adults. We don't test with other animals (cats, bunnies, etc), but he’s shown no chasing instincts. We’ve been free feeding him (Royal Canine and Blackhawk with the occasional meat) after suspecting he’d been underfed before; now he eats comfortably, knowing food is always available. All puppies here are also hand-fed to strengthen their bond with people. He has a very short tail, which appear to be a natural trait. While his early history is unknown, Rudolph was abandoned very young. Based on his attachment to people, he seems to have been handled and loved as infant. Gentle, loving, and eager for human companionship, Rudolph has German Shepherd heritage, judging by his looks and very trainable temperament.
