Selling two mature Mbuna cichlids together.

Both are approximately 10–12 cm, with one a little smaller than the other.

One of the pair is a known Mbuna × Demasoni cross from a Demasoni I previously kept. It has developed particularly strong, contrasting vertical barring and is the more striking and dominant-looking fish of the two. The second fish is more subdued in colour, but both are healthy, active and established fish.

They have been living successfully in my large mixed cichlid aquarium and are feeding well.

As with Mbuna generally, they can be territorial and assertive, so buyers should consider the size, stocking and temperament of their existing aquarium before introducing them. Plenty of space, rockwork and hiding places are recommended.

Selling as a pair only.

Selling because I am downsizing my aquarium setup.

Collection / transport: Pickup from Tawa, Wellington is strongly preferred.

I also travel by vehicle between Wellington and Auckland, so depending on timing and location I may be able to bring them north and arrange collection or drop-off at a suitable point. This would be by prior arrangement only, where it fits reasonably with my travel plans, and I would expect a contribution towards transport costs and suitable fish packing.
