Beautiful mature Frontosa Cichlid (Cyphotilapia frontosa) for sale.

Approximately 20 cm long, with striking black-and-white banding, subtle blue tones through the fins and a well-developed nuchal hump, giving him that classic mature Frontosa appearance.

He has a very graceful, calm and reserved temperament. He tends to hang back rather than dominate the tank, but once comfortable he has a magnificent presence and makes a real centrepiece fish.

He has lived successfully in my large mixed African cichlid aquarium and is healthy, feeding well and well established.

Frontosa are large, slow-growing Lake Tanganyika cichlids, so please do your research and make sure you have a large, established aquarium with suitable water conditions and compatible tankmates before purchasing.

Selling only because I am downsizing my aquarium setup.

Collection / transport: Pickup from Tawa, Wellington is strongly preferred. Buyer will need to bring a suitably sized container for safe transport.

I do travel by vehicle between Wellington and Auckland, so depending on timing and location, I may be able to bring the fish north and arrange collection or drop-off at a suitable point along the way.

This would be by prior arrangement only and only where it fits reasonably with my travel plans. I would expect a contribution towards transport costs and suitable packing for the fish.
