Dog and cat proof

Two top openings, 1 over the sleeping quarters and the other a big one (2/3rds the length of the run) on top of the run, making it easy to catch and feed the rabbit, and easy to clean. You don't have to get down on your knees to catch or feed the rabbit, or clean out the run, as you may have to do with an end opening hutch

A porch over the entrance between the sleeping quarters and the run, as part of the top of the run, to give shelter to the entrance from rain

The run has 19mm square galvanised mesh on it, including on the bottom. It allows grass to grow up through it, and pooh to fall down through it. I don't find that rabbits have problems with their feet on this mesh any more than on a smaller mesh

There is a 3cm threshhold between the sleeping quarters and the run. This helps to keep bedding material and a pellet bowl in the sleeping quarters, and if you are breeding, it helps to keep the baby rabbits in the sleeping quarters

There is a framed shelf at the end of the run for the rabbit to sit on, which rabbits love

There are attractive brass hinges for both openings on top of the hutch, which won't rust
