This is a description She’s a Seal rabbit color characteristics
- Top color: A rich, dark sepia or brownish-black color.
- Shading: The color may be slightly paler on the flanks, chest, and belly, with a gradual, even shading throughout.
- Under color: The undercoat should match the shading on the body.
- Eyes: Deep bluish-black.
- Distinction from otter: Unlike a seal's solid self color, an otter rabbit will have a lighter belly and markings behind the ears due to the tan gene.
- Distinction from sable: "Seal" is a darker version of "sable". Sable rabbits are a grayish-brown color, while seal rabbits have a much deeper, near-black tone.
A seal rabbit has a dark, sepia-brown color with a brown or ruby-red eye and a chocolate or brown undercoat, while a black rabbit is a rich blue-black with a dark, blue-black eye and a slate-blue undercoat.
