Description
A rare and collectible Royal Doulton Lambeth “Art Union of London” stoneware bowl, designed and decorated by Mark V. Marshall (M.V.M.), dated c. 1895–1905.
This is a genuine Art Union commission — a prize piece rather than regular production. The bowl shows Marshall’s characteristic tubelined modelling and rich glazing: deep cobalt elements with caramel/iron interior glazes and crisp high-relief detail. Perfect for display or specialist collections. A scarce and desirable example of Marshall’s work for the Art Union of London. Model 9754 is infrequently recorded and represents an important intersection between Doulton’s Lambeth studio production and late-Victorian Art Union commissioning practices.
