Keith Murray designed banded bowl produced by Wedgwood in England during the 1930s. Strong modernist form with stepped banding typical of Murray’s inter-war work.
Finished in a blue glaze with good colour depth and even tone. Wide open form suitable as a display bowl or centrepiece.
Marked to the base “Of Etruria Wedgwood Made in England” with KM factory mark, consistent with period production.
Presents well with light wear consistent with age. No chips, cracks, or repairs noted.
Keith Murray was born in Auckland and went on to become one of the most influential designers working for Wedgwood during the inter-war period.
