Why Trade Tested?
At Trade Tested, we manufacture a lot of the products you see when browsing our catalogue. Using our office in Shanghai, we are able to stay in constant contact with our suppliers. This allows us to be very hands on with the design and development process.
When we try out a new range, it all gets tested by someone at our headquarters in Auckland. We go back and forth with changes and improvements, finally ending up with something we know our customers will be happy with. Only then are we confident enough to put our sticker on the side and call it Trade Tested.
In saying that, as a Kiwi business we also like to partner with well established locals like Skellerup, McGregors, Gasmate, Steel Fort and Hills. All of these companies have great, reliable products that have been around for years and have proven to withstand the toughest New Zealand conditions.

About us
Trade Tested has grown to be New Zealand’s top online, outdoor hardware shop. 100% locally owned and operated, we’re a combination of new technology and good old fashioned Kiwi customer service. As we don’t have a chain of giant shops, or a million staff, our prices can’t be beaten.
It all began in 2001 when we started importing to a small garage in central Auckland, selling on what was then a little site called Trade Me. As Kiwis got more used to buying things online, we got more used to selling them. After several years of being one of the most popular businesses on Trade Me, we decided to start a website. Just for us.
So after a few sleepless nights and lots of coffee, Trade Tested launched on the 10th of July, 2010. Our goal – deliver Kiwis the best deals on everything for their backyards straight to their front door. And since then we have been able to do just that.
From the humble water blaster in Ponsonby to the giant farm shelter for an orchard in Cromwell, no matter how big your backyard is we’ve got you covered. Last year alone we are proud to have delivered to over 60,000 satisfied customers all around the country.

Instructions are easy to follow and so far I can’t decide whether to leave it bare or to put a climbing plant as it it not unattractive as it is.
