Description
From my childhood D&D collection, these are vintage 1984 Grenadier "Dragon Lords" boxed miniature sets, still in really great condition. Eight of the thirteen 1984 Series 1 range (making them 42 years old!) they are original old-school, unpainted, heavy lead figures. The Red Dragon is discounted as it's missing its gem plinth, has a broken tail, and was the only one I ever attempted to paint as a kid (so has light colour remaining on it). I've carefully cleaned it back a little, so it now appears as shown in the photos ready for fresh priming.
On eBay, these dragons typically sell for NZ$75–150 each (depending on the dragon, it's condition, whether the original box is included, and if all accessories such as the gem/plinth are present). Shipping from the US to New Zealand is usually an additional NZ$45–60.
I've included a few more details below. If you're interested in the entire collection, an individual dragon, or would like any additional photos, please let me know.

Hi there, great to see these listed. I have a huge grenadier collection, 40+ box sets, couple of hundred singles and blister packs. Shame about American prices for NZ, those auctions don't sell. I've paid $30 for those small boxes and $40 for the large box sets. Love to do a trade with you, I would have brought the lot. Got several dragons including Teronus the ultimate Dragon and a 3 headed dragon, both extremely huge and spectral 5 headed dragon and death dragon plus others.... stevie2018 (1348 • 2:53 am, Tue, 7 Jul )Hey many thanks for post stevie. What would you offer for the lot? htcru (95 • Tuesday, 7 July 2026 )Based on what I have paid in the past I could do, $30 each box set x8 = $240 plus $20 tracked post =$260 total. Four boxes double stacked with some bubble wrap should be strong enough, they are very sturdy. Should fit the extra large post bag. Let me know what you think, I always pay straight away, check out my feedback. PS, I'm a huge 2000ad fan, I have a massive collection, progs #1 - 600+ nearly complete, two copies of prog #1, plus monthly's, graphic novels and figures. I am the law.. stevie2018 (1348 • 2:26 pm, Tue, 7 Jul )Sorry, been a busy week. Having some offers on some single dragons & small 'sets' so holding fire to see what comes of that atm as potential better deals. People from work are also talking to me. Early days so will see what happens even if it means relisting again in the future with what is left. With thanks. htcru (95 • Tuesday, 7 July 2026 )
