Zero to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds. On a full charge, up to 60 kilometres of zero-emission driving before the petrol engine stirs - enough for most daily commutes to be completed on electricity alone. For those who drive further, the transition between power sources is imperceptible.

Presented in Sapphire Black Metallic, the 3 Series wears its restraint well. The G20 generation brought sharper lines, a wider stance, and an interior that finally matched the promise of the badge - the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with its 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen arriving as standard, framing a driver's environment that is precise, intuitive, and entirely on the driver's side.
