Is there still such a thing in this day and age as a cheap 70s American V8 Muscle Car ?? Well, this might just be it! maybe not so much of the performance muscle, but more than enough to put a smile on your face with a decent rumble, and all for less than half the price of a decent HQ Holden you could be cruising around in this old darling!

The 71 Mustang marked the first of the big body cars which were generally far more luxurious to drive than their earlier siblings, and as they say there is no substitute for weight if you want a nice smooth ride and these cars really do deliver, you could certainly easily spend a lot more money to own a car that didnt drive half as good as this old Muzzy!

Sporting a relatively clean old body that looks to be pretty solid, this example has also at some point long ago been treated to a repaint in brilliant bright red with the satin black Mach 1 style side stripes to give her a bit more of an aggressive appearance, while a wide set of chromed 12 slots, decent rubber and a front spoiler all add to the stance of this cool old Mustang.

The 302 engine ticks over beautifully and being a coupled up to the automatic transmission with power steering and power brakes this old Mustang really is lovely driver with a very user friendly appeal.

The interior is pretty much original so has 55 years of general wear, but is still comfortable and functional with seatbelts for all occupants to cruise in relative comfort and safety.

A fair amount of money has clearly been spent under this old Mustang with new shocks, suspension components and general maintenance work evident, so its certainly been loved recently.

A few bumps and bruises as would be expected at this age, and shes probably not going to win you a trophy for best paint at the Mustang nationals, but this is a whole lot of car for a relatively little amount of money in the classic American market, and one that can still turn heads and can be driven and used regularly that you wouldnt be afraid to chuck the kids and dog into for a cruise to the beach!

Its not often we find a good old survivor like this from the seventies for this sort of money..compare the price of this classic Mustang to any other iconic American car from 1971. Dodge Challenger Chev Camaro - Pontiac Firebird, all at least double the money for a project, and this is turn key!
