The 1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (GC8) is a legendary Japanese performance car that cemented Subarus rally-bred reputation in the late 90s. Built on the second-generation GC8 chassis, the 98 STI combined a lightweight, compact body with Subarus iconic EJ20 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four engine, producing around 280 horsepower (Japans gentlemens agreement limit).
