The area is home to Mount Albert Grammar School, one of Auckland’s leading secondary schools, making it a major draw for families. Mount Albert is characterised by its charming bungalows and spacious parks, and you’re never far from a delicious eatery. The area features Oakley Creek Reserve, home to Auckland’s only urban waterfall, a large Westfield shopping centre, and Chamberlain Park Public Golf Course. Of course, there’s Mount Albert itself, the extinct volcano from which the area gets its name. A 20-minute climb rewards you with expansive views across the city and out to the Waitakere Ranges.
