I am a highly experienced maths and statistics tutor, currently taking on new students for 2026. I provide online lessons (typically by Zoom) and in-person lessons for students in Christchurch.

Over the past 20 years, I have helped hundreds of students of all ages and abilities to improve in maths and statistics. I am thoroughly familiar with all exam systems offered in NZ (NCEA, Scholarship, IB, Cambridge), and can also tutor most university-level maths and statistics courses.

I also assist with US college admissions, including SAT / ACT / AP test prep.

In recent years, I've returned to tutoring maths olympiad, after successfully coaching a student over six years to ultimately make the NZIMO team and win Silver at the IMO. I assist students at all stages of their olympiad journey, including:

I have a BSc majoring in maths and psychology, an MSc in Statistics, and recently completed an LLB, followed by admission to the Bar in 2024.

In high school, I gained NCEA scholarship in five subjects, including Calculus and Statistics. I twice represented New Zealand at the International Maths Olympiad (IMO) and subsequently gained admission to Princeton University with full financial aid, where I studied math as an undergraduate.
