I had four driving instructors before meeting Carl, so I had done a lot of practice and learning with them and my friends. However, I must say Carl was exceptional! He is patient, very clear, and concise with his instructions. He made me feel confident in my driving, and I passed my restricted test on the first attempt. And I only did 2 X 2 hours lessons with him. Thank you, Carl!!!

Carl is a great driving instructor who I would recommend to anyone who needs lessons, regardless of their experience. I was quite worried about driving, but after my first lesson I immediately felt much more confident. He explains things very clearly, shows you exactly what to do, and what not to do. Excellent instructor, very good price too for how detailed each lesson is, starts off nice and easy and more and more with each lesson. Didnt sit my restricted for quite a few months after the lessons but wouldn't of been able to drive and pass my restricted first time without Carl's awesome lessons.

Carl is a highly experienced driving instructor and he is absolutely amazing in terms of teaching people how to drive in all situations rather than just for the driving test. I've learnt a lot when doing driving with Carl and I got my restricted on my first try. He teaches the techniques to drive safely and smoothly, and you will feel absolutely confident to drive on your own after taking his lessons!

Carl is an amazing person and instructor who taught me how to drive since day one. I didn't know how to control the steering wheel or move the car on my own because I was so scared, through it all Carl was there to help. I took 1 hr of driving lesson from Carl near VTNZ Sylvia Park. Carl gave me useful tips on my driving and areas to improve on and also we went around the area 2 times. When I did the actual test, the route was 90% similar to where Carl took me for practice. I passed the test. Thanks!

I just got my restricted today !!!! I have had my learners for more than two years and I have had so many Instrctors. Honestly, Carl is THE BEST. He dose actually care and take bride in his students success. He obviously loves what he dose. He is a talented driving instructor. I was taught by Carl and he's a good teacher. I took my restricted test today and was able to pass the first time. He will teach you the correct way of driving so that you can pass your test with the correct skills and knowledge. The prices of lessons are at an affordable price as well.

Carl is a very good driving instructor. He is reliable, honest, and very knowledgeable of the New Zealand driving rules and conditions. If you don't have a car, Carl will provide his vehicle for both lessons and the tests. Carl gives good and honest feedback and challenges students to succeed. Carl is also a good mentor. Someone told it's not very cheap, but I personally think this is a decent price for a very good training. Carl is a very positive person able to find an approach to anyone, identify weak spots and keep every lesson interesting and not stressful. Today I successfully passed my restricted - I could totally recommend him as an instructor, especially if you feel really unconfident about your ability to drive. Everything is possible with a good teacher!

When we started driving classes, I was really impatient and wanting to get over it and pass my restricted test. There was a time where I wish we could swap faces just to pass the test haha. Came with a little bit of driving experience before starting with Carl but plenty of bad habits . Carl helped a lot with fixing those and teaching me how to drive properly. Carl is a skilled and qualified instructor. Every one that I have recommended to him have passed there test the first time never twice. Carl is very honest, very calm when giving instructions and is very clear. He does not teach to only pass the test but to provide skills and knowledge on how to actually take control of the motor vehicle to minimize risk of accidents and for every road users safety. Where do I even start? First and foremost, the man is an amazing driver. Those 40 years of experience really show. Being taught by him is an experience. Being constantly reminded of what to be cautious of while driving really sticks with you in the long run. You might find yourself remembering the tips he gave you in the past. I don't even know where I'm going with this ( self deprecation, the go-to when you don't know what else to write ). Plain and simple, he's a good coach. Go for it.

Carl is an amazing driving instructor, he not only teaches you how to pass the restricted test, but also how to DRIVE. After failing first time, and being given carl's number by a friend i decided to give him a call, a great decision considering i passed with no critical errors second time round,after him pointing out lots of special tricks they try and pull on you etc. Great driving instructor!

Carl was an excellent driving instructor, he taught me not only the skills I needed but he taught me how to drive - he had a very holistic teaching technique that I found was particularly effective in helping me feel more confident in my driving skills. I found the length of the lessons was good in that they were long enough to get a solid amount of practice in, leaving me feeling as though I had progressed my technique from each lesson.Thank you Carl for helping me pass my restricted!
