I buy from Hitek Systems because of the aftersale expertise Steve offers. The equipment he sells is high quality and prices are reasonable but his knowledge of all solar is invaluable. Particularly when it comes to component matching, sizing of panels to battery bank capacity, and overall efficiency. Often there are ongoing tweaks that can be made to setting that improve system performance and battery lifespan and his advice is invaluable.

Steve is a man who is on top of his game. Knows all about solar systems & gives top advise on problems that arise with DIY. Have bought solar panels & stuff & he has always given good advise on how to go about things. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Steve. Very handy man to know when you are doing solar systems. I had a system that was supplied by another company and my inverter was playing up. I was not getting the backup I’d expected. Steve was recommended,I was so fortunate to have his help and because of that my inverter was replaced with one he supplied. Steve provided a great service and arranged an installer to put it all in, everything works as expected and the system has been brilliant. Hitek have supplied us with 20 off 310W panels, a Solax Hybrid inverter, a battery charge manager, 14.4kWh of batteries and an emergency power switch which enables to run off batteries if the power is lost. But the real winner is definitely the Hot Water Diversion Kit, if you have solar with or without batteries BUY ONE OF THESE! you will not regret it!

Steve at Hitek systems was the only one who could explain the ins and outs of the system in a way I could understand while also explaining what we needed for a reliable system that suited our needs. Steve went above and beyond for us and is always just an email away for any on going questions. I felt no pressure to buy from you but instead felt you had my best interests at heart regards power output, efficiency, and money. After having 2, full install, 5kW/ 20 panel deals offered to me for under 14k from 2 other Solar companies, and then running them by Steve, I've decided to flag it and wait until the government subsidises Solar, or I can save up more $$. It just got too expensive and complicated for me.

Recently installed 10kW ground array at a total cost of less than $2.00 / W. After much research we chose Steve for a consultancy service, design to install, and for supply of many components. Parts and advice were of excellent quality and promptly provided. If you are looking at buying solar components we recommend Steve for price and quality (best in NZ), though we sourced our inverters or panels from other chanels. I am an apprentice electrician looking to install my own solar panel system on the new home we are building. Having never installed any solar panel system before Steve has been incredibly helpful.
