I'm a 60 year old adopted kiwi, I hired a set of these tools from Alastair for a weekend to lay 2 carpets in 2 rooms, I used all the tools except the iron, there worked great, I was pleased with the job I achieved. I saved myself hundreds of dollars, and would recommend anybody can do this if I can.

Great resource to have been able to utilise with a very friendly and well organised service attached. I was prepared to hire the tool set for another 5 days so I could complete my initial plan but was given the time required at no extra cost. Being a novice these tools made all the difference! The carpet in our new sleepout looks like it was professionally laid. Alistair was very helpful and easy to deal with.

Excellent service, with helpful advice on how to fit carpet. I fitted two rooms with an adjoining corridor, and using these tools over a weekend and achieved a professional-looking result. The cutting disc, knee kicker and carpet scissors make stretching and cutting easy and much faster that trying to do the job without the right tools (i know from past experience!). I highly recommend this service.

I looked everywhere in Auckland trying to hire a carpet iron, no joy. Then I found this service, could not have been better, overnight service, iron worked great and all were happy.

This was the first time I had tried carpet laying and by taking my time and following the instructions provided - I got there.Trader could not have been more helpful when I talked to him and I am now greatly encouraged to try it again in the future. Highly recommended person to deal with.

I have never laid carpet before .Alistair returned my Email in under 4 hours ,and I had the tools the next day . They did come with guidelines to laying carpet;but when I had a wee hick up Alistair was happy to help.I FINISHED thee job ,it looks good ,Wife is happy and I saved a lot of money ;plus the pleaser of doing it myself .

Communication was excellent throughout and I received first class delivery of the tools to my door. Unfortunately, the carpet was not what I expected and I decided not to lay it. Due to the Easter holiday it wasn't possible to get new carpet in time, so I returned the tools. On finding out that I hadn't used the tools, Alistair waived the cost of the smoothedges I used and called it even. Couldn't get a fairer deal than that. It did take about 5 or 6 hours for me to lay the carpet, just one room 8 x 4 m. But I was learning as I went. Your instruction were a great help, very straight forward.
