Similar in colour and appearance to European oak. The sapwood of American white oak is light coloured and the heartwood is light to medium brown. White oak is mostly straight grained with a medium to coarse texture.

Prime oak has more linear grains, giving it a very uniform and intricate appeal without many flaws or knots. This makes it perfect for bringing a sophisticated atmosphere.

Premium Character contains a healthy selection of natural knots. These boards tend to have more colour variation than Prime, the contrast of more varied grain patterns and more of the natural Oak features, making it our most popular of wood flooring grades.

Our natural rustic oak preserves the natural beauty of the oak resulting in a very rural but warming floor.

This timber has been blanked, which is an initial machining stage before we turn this into the stunning profiles found in store. You can expect a consistent size with some skip dressing.
