Osmo Polyx®-Oil Rapid is a faster drying version of the normal Polyx®-Oil. Rapid is normally used in colder conditions where the temperature is below 6-8 degrees, or there is snow or frost present. Available in satin (3232), Matt (3262) and white transparent (3240). A durable, low maintenance finish for timber flooring, exposed timber beams, sarking, wall paneling, children’s toys, cots and bassinets etc. Suitable for most timbers. Polyx®-Oil Rapid is one of the recommended finishes for timbers which have a high oil and resin content such as Matai, and oily timbers such as Totara, Kwila and Spotted Gum. We recommend using any pH neutral or plant-based detergent such as Osmo’s Wash and Care for damp mopping, and Osmo’s Liquid Wax Cleaner for buffing the timber when needed. Avoid using commercial chemical detergents as these are designed to remove grease and will strip the oil from the finish over time.
